Aharon Kahana

Stuttgart, Germany, 1905 – Ramat Gan, Israel 1967

The painter and ceramicist, Aharon Kahana studied art in Germany and Paris before immigrating to Israel in 1934. Kahana´s art was highly influenced by archeological findings in Israel and he greatly admired the early Canaanite people. In the 1940s Kahana joined the “New Horizons” group and his work developed into abstract allusions of early writing in the Middle East.
