Ludwig Blum

September 27, 2010

Brno, Czechoslovakia 1891 – Jerusalem, Israel 1974

Ludwig Blum displayed artistic talent at a young age, painting the peasants in his town. He studied art at the Royal Academy, and the Prague Academy. After serving in the Austrian army in WWI, Blum traveled Europe to continue his studies and then settled in Israel in 1923. Blum exhibited often; his strong colors and expressionist rendering garnered attention in Israel and abroad. The artist´s canvases have not lost their relevancy and they continue to charm and enchant to this day.
