Israel, 1948
“Quality is not a bad word.” – Zahava Lupo

The lyrical abstract painter, Zahava Lupo is a native Israeli who studied music at Tel Aviv University and art at the Avni Institute in Tel Aviv. Lupo´s bright, expressionist paintings hint at the Mediterranean landscape while also suggesting a deep turmoil that can easily be felt in this part of the world. Deeply influenced by her musical background, Lupo´s works are poetic and melodic, filled with color and broad brush strokes, staccato spots and intertwining lines. Lupo is well established in the Israeli art scene and has been in numerous group and solo exhibitions.
